Abstract:

On January 1, 2021, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 took effect after Congress overrode President Trump’s December 23, 2020 veto.  This Act contains numerous provisions that will impose new requirements, expectations, and opportunities for government contractors.  This webinar will cover key provisions for government contractors regarding cybersecurity, government contracts intellectual property, other transactions, national security, contractor business systems, cost or pricing data, small business matters, and others.

More specifically, in this webinar you will learn about the FY2021 NDAA’s provisions on:

  • Cybersecurity measures, particularly those intended to shore up the cybersecurity posture of the Defense Industrial Base;
  • Establishing new authority for use of other transactions and creating a list of OT authority consortia;
  • National security related requirements, including foreign ownership or sourcing disclosures and restrictions;
  • A new threshold for TINA disclosure, and standards regarding deficiencies in contractor business systems; and
  • Small business regulations concerning such matters as SDVOSB certification and the lookback period for employee-based size standards
