Contract/Subcontract Tracking Spreadsheet

By Eduardo Galindez posted 03-01-2018 11:34

Hello Everyone,

Wondering is anyone has a pre-prepared Contracts/Subcontracts Tracking Spreadsheet (MS Excel)? Hoping to see if I can get a blank copy, so I can implement at my work place. It is so weird we do not have one already and I am prepping to see if I can make one, but I wanted to reach out to see if someone provide me with one.

Old thread, but this may be helpful to some who come across it. Agree with Michael's assessment.  I have evaluated and implemented some CLM solutions in a couple spaces that in the end did not have the ROI to make them work. Considerations include:  1. Is there a resource to manage the tool once set up and ongoing ? 2. Do all the stakeholders who may benefit from such 'Buy in" to the implementation. Change needs all on board or it is a waste of time/effort and money if resistance to using a new tool.     There are plenty of Excel spreasheets out there. Smart Sheet offers but one. (That has been used in some spaces). Most contract managers find one and tweak it or create their own if they have Excel skills. (Pivot tables are a great skill to have so brush up on basic and intermediate excel to be able to create tables and pull data).   This is a hard thing to "share" as in every space such is created it is of course Confidential and Proprietary and uniquely tailored to internal processes.

Hi Eduardo,

I think if you were to search on Google, you would find plenty of resources and some that are free to use for what you need to track.

Eduardo,
Hi there. Data Management Software can sometimes run a company over budget. We utilize a lot of different spreadsheets to "track" everything. I do not have a blank "pre-prepared" one to give you. However, I can tell you that we use excel to enter dates into our worksheets, and then we import these worksheets into our outlook calendars. Here is a link to a website that was very handy for me, to learn how to manipulate excel to help us keep track of things without the cost burden of investing into expensive data management software.
